Canterbury Court Project
Canterbury Court was inspired by Frank Player and Margaret Hancock who were members of the Atlanta All Saints’ Episcopal Church. They gained sponsorships to sponsor the All-Saints St. Luke Episcopal Home for the retired which is now called Canterbury Court. In 1965 it became Atlanta’s First Life Plan Community or Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Residents enjoy an independent lifestyle with life-easing services and amenities, catered living as well as skilled nursing if needed. The retirement community is faith-based, not for profit organization and they reinvest revenue into the community for the benefit of the residents and staff.
The aim of this project is to design a common area for Canterbury Court where residents can socialize, dine, enjoy various entertainment and relax.
